KCC was awarded a design-bid-build with the NJTA for a GSP concrete median barrier rehabilitation project in Middlesex County, NJ.
Project Highlights
KCC collaborated intensely on the traffic control logistics in order to shift the Northbound and Southbound lanes to facilitate the removal and replacement of 10,000 LF of concrete median barrier.
In conjunction with the median barrier replacement, KCC’s contract included the reconstruction of the associated storm drain system.
Upon completion of the installation and backfill of the new median barrier, the full width of roadway was milled and overlayed.
There was approximately 275,000 SY of milling and 28,000 TONS of asphalt placed.
There was regulated material generated on the excavation that KCC worked with the NJTA to dispose of at an approved facility.
The project was buildout in multiple phases that included both day and nighttime work hours.
